Hastings Bike Train - Lexington MA

What is a bike train?

A bike train is a parent-led group of students biking to school. We’re encouraging active transportation and environmentally friendly alternatives to single occupancy vehicles.

Who can join?

All elementary students at Hastings are welcome to join. We ask that students younger than third grade are accompanied by a cycling adult. Community members are welcome to cheer as the train goes by, or join if you’d like!

Come ride with us! Switching it up and having a Friday bike train (4th and 5th graders with instruments this change is for you) instead of Wednesday. Routes and timing are on the website like always. Can this one be the biggest and best of the month!

It’s gonna be May! And that means more bike trains - we’ll be celebrating both Massachusetts Walk, Bike, & Roll to School Day on May 1 and National Bike & Roll to School Day on the 8th

The map here shows our two current routes as well as estimated timing. Our current schedule is roughly the first Wednesday of each month, but we hope to increase the frequency soon.
